Job Description:

CareMore provides access to health care services for California, Nevada and Arizona markets serving Medicare beneficiaries in federally approved service areas. All Marketing materials offered by the health plan need to follow CMS guidelines.

With the guidance of the Sales & Marketing Vice President the Compliance Marketing Manager will play a critical role in oversight, development, implementation and marketing of Medicare Advantage materials and publications.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Utilize periodic performance metrics to analyze and measure progress towards meeting the Managed Medicare Program plans, standards and objectives.

• Routinely review and monitor performance indicator reports as it pertains to productivity, quality, oversight, etc.

• Based on performance indicators provide strategic direction for improvements to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

• Provide leadership and process improvement for areas impacting marketing.

    - Responsible for start-to-finish execution of CMS required Marketing materials driving Annual Election Period and Annual Notification

    - Maintain project timelines and budgets

    - Manage creative development, printing and fulfillment through agency and vendors

    - Responsible for timely delivery, order and production to sales and broker teams

    - Internal client liaison and point for inter-departmental projects requiring marketing, compliance and product requirements

    - Prepare meeting presentations, recaps and action items

    - Assist with special projects as needed

• Work in collaboration with: Network Relations, Product, Customer Service, Core System, Agency, among other departments.

• Work with the Training and Development area to develop and introduce Medicare training when applicable.

• Know, understand, support, routinely review and update all Marketing Operating Policies and Procedures to ensure that individual actions meet the overall organizational goals.

• Along with Marketing peers; Manage and oversee activities performed by Marketing Coordinators.

• Assist in the identification, review, and implementation of new designs of Medicare marketing materials and promotional items.  

 

Compliance:

• Market expert on CMS rules and regulations

• Develop CMS required materials for Sales and Marketing department for members and prospects

• Manage vendor translations of materials as required by CMS for required formats including: Spanish, Braille or large print

• Investigate matters related to potential compliance violations

• Work with internal departments to develop and enforce sales and marketing compliance policies and procedures

• Prepare guidance and advisement on specific compliance standards around CMS regulations for Sales & Marketing

• Understanding and adherence on all CMS rules and regulations

• Review and approve brand usage and CMS compliance in material development  

 

Qualifications - Skills and Abilities:

1) Minimum of 6 - 8 years’ experience in the Medicare Advantage healthcare industry required.

2) Minimum of 3- 5 years or more in a management role.

3) Proven analytical and communication skills; ability to present, write and converse effectively with multiple audiences of various levels.

    a. Strong attention to detail, highly organized with an excellent marketing sense

    b. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to both listen and verbally communicate ideas well

    c. Team player, able and willing to collaborate with cross-functional teams

    d. Ability to work well under pressure and in a deadline driven environment

4) Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills.

5) Demonstrated leadership qualities for creative problem solving initiatives and resolution of complex issues.

6) A Master’s Degree in Art or Science with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine or in Public Health when conferred for a program in hospital administration from an approved college or university.

7) Four years of administrative experience and background at responsible management and administrative levels; or, an equivalent combination of training, educational background and experience in related fields and educational disciplines.
