Job Description:

The EPM Coordinator assumes the responsibility of the development and maintenance of the schedules of the clinical professionals, both contracted and employed, in Next Gen’s EPM systems. The position requires the timely and accurate completion of tasks as assigned by the department’s director(s), regional managers and/or designee.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains the electronic schedules of contracted and employed clinical professionals.
  • Works in cooperation with the Assistant Director of Clinical Programs and the Regional Managers to coordinate, develop and maintain the schedules of the CareMore Care Centers’ nurse practitioners, medical doctors, podiatrists, physician assistants and dieticians.
  • Conducts training, both classroom and on site training of staff, including, but not limited to, medical assistants, physicians, and nurse practitioners.
  • Assures timely and accurate completion of training of the staff in the EPM systems. Assure competency of staff upon completion of EPM user(s) training.
  • Provides direction, training and guidance to staff upon their need for how to accurately document information in EPM.
  • Routinely and regularly audits accurate use of EPM systems by users employed in the CareMore Care Centers.
  • Audits users abilities and develop and provide training solutions.
  •  Provide remedial training for all EPM users as needed.   
  • Write and maintain training documents and policies and procedures related to system functionality, system changes, and system upgrades.
    • Communicate changes and system upgrades to all EPM users/staff.
    • Oversight of all updates to policy and procedure manual as assigned and annually.
    • Maintain on shared drive.
  • Conduct train the trainer courses to develop subject matter experts in all clinic locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

1. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years’ experience in the Health Care business or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required, but Medical Assistant or certification or nursing license preferred.  

3. Other Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Office User
  • 2 – 5 years experience with electronic medical records and electronic practice management systems; NexGen experience preferred.  
  • Willingness and ability to travel 35% of work time to multiple clinic locations throughout the United States.
  • Ability to perform well prepared, well presented training sessions in large groups (25+) people.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to complete and prioritize multiple projects
  • Develop standardized training sessions and schedules.
  • Ability to create and implement e-learning materials and assessments.
