Job Description:
The main purpose of the position is to provide development support of internally defined applications, specifically with SharePoint, and on enhancing systems purchased through 3rd party vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
• Analysis of Requests: Assess the customer’s needs and expectation in relation to changes and development of programs, including impact and feasibility of request.
- Advises user departments to resolve computer applications, capabilities, alternative programming approaches, limitations, etc. Works with user departments to resolve specific problems or make changes in programs. Consults with the programming lead on complex issues.
- Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
• Design of Changes: Compile comprehensive designs that explain the expected changes and accounting for interdependency of applications.
- Reviews and analyzes systems specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included. Consults with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
- Comply with all standards and acceptable approaches to maintain consistency of documentation and designs. \
• Development of SharePoint Applications: Produce clear and effective code to produce an effective solution to meet the customer’s expectations.
- Modifies existing programs to conform to system changes or to make improvements in the existing program.
- Develop programs and systems utilizing an organizationally acceptable approach including common languages, tools, and frameworks.
• Testing of Solutions: Independently reviews and validates assumptions and coding to ensure the highest quality application with little or no cause for rework or rollback, seeking help from the lead programmer when needed.
• Process Control: Create applications in an environment that is repeatable and effective to meet the needs of the organization.
- Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
- Monitors performance of programs after implementation.
Qualifications:
1. Exceptional knowledge of data tools, business analysis, and process management. Ability to work with others to learn and grow through Knowledge Sharing. SharePoint knowledge and experience.
2. Individual must be highly skilled in a programming language, preferably vb.Net and ASP.net. Some experience with C++ is also helpful.
