Job Description:

The role of the internal Telesales and/or Retention associate is to conduct activities that will include, but are not limited to assisting with existing membership via incoming and outbound calls/inquiries, as appropriate and by means of special campaigns. This is accomplished by conducting outbound calls, servicing prospects by way of scheduling for an in-home appointment or scheduling to attend a sales meeting, completing a telephonic enrollment request or mailing out information for the purpose of increasing and retaining membership.

Assist with special projects as assigned.

Act as a liaison between prospects and members with internal departments.

Must comply with CareMore Health Plan policies, procedures and guidelines.  

 

Responsibilities Include:

I. OUTBOUND TELEMARKETING

    • Achieve and maintain individual performance goals set by management based on selling season.

    • Conduct outbound telemarketing calls, pursuant to campaign specifics.

    • Meet or exceed key performance indicators of approximately 75 outbound calls per day, based upon business needs, resulting in telephonic enrollments, referrals, in-homes or sales meetings being scheduled.

    • Conduct outreach calls when necessary to member to inform them of benefit updates or changes in coverage

    • Make outbound calls with the intent to identify potential members at risk of disenrolling due to service or benefit issues with the intent to meet our member’s satisfaction.

    • Maintain records of activity via appropriate lead tracking systems and programs.

II. INBOUND CALLS

    • Receive inbound calls from various sources and service caller appropriately.

    • Meet or exceed key performance indicators for inbound calls, which will vary from approximately 20 – 45 per day, based upon business needs and volume.

    • Maintain records of activity via appropriate lead tracking systems and programs.  

 

Education and Experience:

1. 2+ years sales/call center experience

2. High School Diploma required

3. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: California Life and Health Insurance License

4. Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, both written and verbal in English, and Spanish preferred

5. Driven by sales goals

6. Ability to understand our markets

7. Knowledge of Medicare and CMS and their respective guidelines

8. Must be an active listener and adept at overcoming objections and gauging interest and needs.
