Job Description:
The CCC Front & Back Office Medical Assistant (MA) assists in the examinations and treatment of patients under the direction of the clinician or Allied Health Professional. The MA functions within the scope of his/her education and training. The Front & Back Office MA is also responsible for greeting all patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner, checking patients in for their clinician’s visit, verifying patients’ eligibility with their insurance companies, checking patients out after their doctor’s visit, ensuring that patients’ paperwork is completed, collecting the appropriate copayment, scheduling patients’ appointments, and posting the day’s payments at the end of the day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Check-in patients
• Check-out patients
• Appointment Scheduling
• Closing Out at Day’s End
• Back Office
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have certification of completion from an accredited school of training for medical assistants.
• Minimum one year work experience as a Medical Assistant or completion of an externship at a CareMore medical office.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
