Shaden Marzouk
Shaden Marzouk, MD, MBA
President of CareMore Health and Aspire Health

Dr. Shaden Marzouk, MBA, is President of CareMore Health and Aspire Health. Previously, she was at AXA, where she served as Managing Director, Asia Health and Global Health Innovation. Formerly, Shaden held several leadership roles at Cardinal Health, including Chief Medical Officer. Prior to Cardinal Health, she was at Goldman Sachs.

Dr. Marzouk began her career as a neurosurgeon and was Chief of Neurosurgery, a Major in the United States Army, and served in Iraq. She also holds an M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Vivek Garg
Vivek Garg, MD, MBA
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Vivek Garg is CareMore Health's Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and leads the organization's care delivery, clinical strategy, and clinical innovation. As CMO, Dr. Garg will drive the continued evolution of the CareMore Health model to serve complex, high-cost, and high-need patients. He was previously CareMore’s Chief Product Officer where he led growth strategy, product development, implementation and learning & development nationally at CareMore. He is dedicated to the goal of humanizing healthcare and achieving the triple aim, through patient-centered care delivery redesign. He also serves as an advisor to early-stage healthcare start-ups.

Before joining CareMore Health, Dr. Garg was Director of Medical Operations & Medical Director at Oscar Insurance - a high-growth, consumer-focused and technology-enabled healthcare company focused on redesigning the health insurance and care delivery experience. He was also Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to Oscar, Dr. Garg was Medical Director at One Medical Group, a nationally recognized, rapidly growing primary care system, where he led initiatives in quality, population health, and telemedicine. His prior work experience spans the public, private, and non-profit sectors, including positions with McKinsey & Company and the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, a leading Congressional advisory body on payment innovation in Medicare.

He trained in internal medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital, where he practiced primary care at Faulkner Hospital and was a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School. He received his MD and MBA from Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, respectively, and graduated summa cum laude from Yale University.

VP of Operations

As VP of Operations, Alexis is responsible for the growth and performance of all CareMore markets across the country, as well as enterprise business operations supporting the organization’s mission and corporate objectives. She has oversight of the national patient care center, mobile operations, claims and delegated functions, and contracting and implementation. Alexis is a seasoned executive with 25 years of experience in the Healthcare and Insurance & Financial industries. Known for developing strategic operational plans, meeting growth targets, and building high-performing teams, her skills are aligned to help us achieve our goals of growth, scale and strengthening core operations. 

Alexis comes to CareMore from the Matrix Medical Network, where she served as Vice President Strategic & Quality Operations since 2014, leading P&L & cost/process improvement strategies for Coding and Clinical Quality Documentation Improvement, as well as Credentialing, Physician Compliance, Provider Enrollment, Medical Records and Regulatory Operations. Prior to that she served as Director of Quality Management & Improvement for the Aetna Medicaid Business Unit in Phoenix, Arizona, responsible for corporate-wide Medicaid/Duals quality management programs. Her preceding roles as VP-IT at Coventry Healthcare and Nationwide Insurance round out her experience in building successful systems.

Staff VP of Finance

Peter is CareMore’s Staff VP of Finance and leads the accounting, financial planning, analysis and reporting for the organization. He also has oversight of investment planning and capital expenditures. Recognized for his proven success at Big-4 CPA and healthcare organizations, creating for each a bottom line-driven vision, identifying and resolving issues, improving business operations, and leading teams that increase effectiveness and profits, Peter’s comprehensive and diversified experience is strategically aligned with the CareMore and Aspire goals of growth and scalability.

Before joining CareMore, Peter was with Infinity Investors and Management Group, where he served as Managing Partner and Interim Chief Financial Officer responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis, IPO readiness, revenue cycle management and enterprise-wide operational standardization. Prior to that he served as Principal Financial Officer for the Apria Healthcare Group, a private equity (Blackstone) owned company with 500 locations; and completed extended tenures as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at the Skilled Healthcare Group, as well as PacifiCare Health Systems.
